Artist Statement

My creative practice operates at the intersection of photography, new media, documentary, and collaboration, bridging traditional and conceptual image-making while investigating emergent visual literacies. My methodology draws from intensive theoretical research in architecture alongside years of photographic practice, inquiry, and pedagogy.

My current work strategically synthesizes traditional and contemporary photographic approaches, embracing new media technologies and evolving visual literacies while exploring the conceptual and collaborative potential of each medium.

I am responding to significant shifts in contemporary image culture: social media's complex relationship with authenticity and its implications across all photographic genres; expanding definitions of documentary practice for contemporary storytelling; creative possibilities within virtual image creation; and the increasingly blurred boundaries between editorial photography and photo-illustration. While these investigations are philosophical and often abstract in nature, they address photography's fundamental capacity as a medium of infinite visual possibility.

At its foundation, my practice recognizes lens-based visuality as the defining literacy of our century.
